Hallmark Care Homes held a special online launch event last week to mark the opening of its new £12m care home, Hutton View, in Essex.
Around 300 guests, including care professionals and local businesses, were invited to hear about the vision behind the home, participate in a panel discussion with Hallmark’s dementia and relationship centred care experts and take a virtual tour of the home’s state-of-the-art facilities.
These include a welcoming café with its own aquarium and distinctive bar, a farmhouse kitchen and a top floor activities room with a second bar and large outdoor terrace.
Other facilities in the 77-bed home include a luxurious hair salon, therapy room, large screen cinema with surround sound and a starlight ceiling and a music room with a baby grand piano, vinyl record player and LPs and selection of musical instruments.
During the event, attendees heard from Avnish Goyal, chair of Hallmark Care Homes and CEO of Savista Developments, and Ram Goyal, Hallmark’s managing director, and witnessed the all-important ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open the home.
Guests were also encouraged to tweet their questions, thoughts and comments with £5 donated to Hutton Community Centre for every tweet received using the hashtag #HuttonViewLaunch. Hallmark then raised this to £5,000 to support the community centre’s plans to refurbish the kitchen and social areas by spring 2021.
“I am delighted that Hutton View Care Home is now officially open and we welcome all of our team into the Hallmark Care Homes family,” says Ram Goyal. “I am proud of everyone who has been involved in the building and opening of the care home, including the Savista Developments Team and the team involved in the grand launch.
“We are looking forward to making Hutton View a part of the community providing high-quality care for residents in the future, enabling them to live life to the full.”
