Nutrition and Hydration Week postponed

The annual Nutrition and Hydration Week, which is normally held in March, has been postponed until the summer.

The annual Nutrition and Hydration Week has been postponed from March until the summer.

Organisers have revealed that, due to the pressure Covid-19 is currently putting on health and social care workers, the event will now take place from the 14th-20th June.

Participants are being encouraged to focus their messaging on how nutrition and hydration can help promote staff well-being.

Organiser Caroline Lecko said: “With the pressures on health and social care staff, who we know from experience love to engage with the week to promote their great work, we felt we needed to give them some well-deserved breathing space and moving the week was logical.”

Plans to mark the event’s 10-year anniversary this year have also been pushed back, and celebrations will now occur in March 2022.
